I don’t want to go to Mars
We live in difficult times, what science fiction has shown us as dystopian realities today are certain: pandemics, impending wars, climate crises, massive disappearance of animal species, genetic modification, etc. And faced with the imminent end of the possibility of moving further and further away from reality with the Metavers, even Elon Musk proposed to create colonies on Mars. My proposal is to provoke a reflection on the connection with nature, a nature little explored, using humour as a means of questioning, imagining what would happen in our bodies if we continued the path of disconnection, camouflage of artificial plants, and a reflection around the Garden of Eden, a story directly related to the greenhouse, a place whose ideal is to shelter all the climates and species of the world. This mythical garden has now become a biotechnological garden, where nature does what we command and play the role of God. What kind of nature will come from this relationship? How will our body change in this process? Why have we come to this point? What can we do to address the crisis?
